We are here!

Primrose Hill with Shard in background
The team all arrived save and sound today.  Although some of us were feeling "punchy" because of the jet lag we managed to walk it out and have a great start to our time here in London.  First we were able to reconnect with Meredith who is a member of Hunter Street and living in London working for the IMB and helping with our Camden mission efforts.  Next, we went on our usual Camden Market walk stopping at Primrose Hill to see the sights of London as well as to start our People Mapping.  One of the most notable buildings now in the London skyline is the Shard, this building is a sign of the times as it is owned by Islamic Finance and operated under the guidelines that all tenets must work in cooperation with Sharia law.  The Shard is the largest building in Europe and a symbol of the local muslims of gaining influence and prestige within the London culture.  Please pray that this influence will stop growing and that instead Christ will be lifted up and honored in the people of London.

While praying and engaging at Primrose the girls were able to make a connection with a university student, Norelco and connect her to Meredith.  She is in need of a ESL teacher and Meredith just so happens to be starting a ESL ministry with Kings Cross.  Pray for this connection and that Meredith will be able to create a discipling relationship as she teaches English as a Second Language with Norelco.  This was yet again a simple reminder of how God provides when we depend on him!

After our Camden and Primrose Hill walk we went and dined at Fogg's and then capped the evening off with a Camden favorite, Banana Nutella Crepe!  Yum.

Please pray for our work tomorrow as we will worship with Kings Cross Baptist and then start People mapping and prayer walking in our different areas.  Pray for God to give us insight to see the unseen and to be able to engage people and share the good news of Christ to those we meet.

Cheerio!
