Student Trip Day 2

After 11 hours of glorious sleep, we woke up to an English breakfast...with beans! Day Two began with our team of 25 splitting into two groups to head out for our first full day in London.

One group hopped on a bus and headed to Highgate Road Chapel.

We so enjoyed worship with this congregation and had sweet fellowship- along with some yummy cream tea- before and after the service. The church provided us a delicious potluck lunch and we spent several hours laughing and sharing stories with our new friends. After a long goodbye and many hugs we headed to Hampstead Heath where we were able to begin our week of people mapping and prayed walking. It was incredible to see the students put their training into action on the ground in London.

The other half of our team took a brisk walk to Kings Cross Baptist Church.

It was a wonderful service! The message was from Daniel and worship music from the 90s. The students loved it! We gathered with the student ministry there (lead by Alex...a fabulous Nigerian born Londoner) and went through "Creation to Christ's Return" training. After lunch we hit the streets on a local London treasure hunt, fellowshipping and learning about each other's culture. Early evening we said goodbye to our new friends (hoping we'll meet back with them Friday evening) and went to Brunswick Centre for dinner...splitting up to eat...some enjoying some conveyor belt sushi! We ended the evening (after pastries and coffee) with group Bible Study and prayer time. We're so excited about starting out prayer walking tomorrow and engaging the people! Please pray for our teams...we know The Lord has gone before us...we are excited to see what He has planned.

Here are some pics from our day.

Prayer Requests:

*that our team would be alert and attentive in training

*that our team would have energy

*that our team would have the boldness to share the Gospel to those they encounter tomorrow

*that the team would stay safe and healthy
